I believe that they all work properly now. Please do inform me of any problems encountered. thank you, Daniel From lingua at geez.org Mon Dec 10 17:35:26 2007 From: lingua at geez.org (Daniel Yacob) Date: Mon Dec 10 17:35:38 2007 Subject: [am-nlp] 2007 Year End Review Message-ID: Greetings All, The end of the year is upon us and I wanted to ask if people here could take some time to review the list of papers published in 2007: http://nlp.amharic.org/research/papers/by-year/2007/ and make sure that every paper is there. If you have additional time, please also check that your papers on Amharic topics are included for previous years. If you have even more time... please check through the bibliographical sections of your papers and verify that any referenced work on Amharic also appears in the research papers list. A review of the "Resources" section is also much needed. If you do not see listings for the resources that you regularly use, or are aware of for Amharic, please do submit the links for them. If you have resources that are not hosted at any site presently, please consider uploading them to nlp.amharic.org to share with others (I'm available to assist here). thanks, -Daniel From gasser at indiana.edu Mon Dec 24 21:32:21 2007 From: gasser at indiana.edu (Michael Gasser) Date: Tue Dec 25 07:13:52 2007 Subject: [am-nlp] Amharic verb stem finder Message-ID: <20071224133221.3ierwvmxsksogk8c@webmail.iu.edu> Hello everybody. I added a new application to the lexical resources on the Amharic NLP site. It provides XML files that give the romanized stems for 4,275 simple and derived verbs from Amsalu Aklilu's Amharic-English dictionary (1981). Also included are two Python programs that search for all stems for a given lexeme in its (romanized) citation form or for all stems with a given (romanized) form. It's here: http://nlp.amharic.org/resources/lexical/software/am_stems/ See README.txt there for details. Questions, comments, and suggestions are welcome. Thanks to Daniel for his help getting this up and for organizing and maintaining the site. Holiday greetings.
